[caption id="attachment_2623" align="alignnone" width="224"] Christmas was especially fun this year because we had ZBL and SPL to celebrate.[/caption] Each Christmas Eve, SPL gets to open one present.  This year he chose a Legos set (big surprise!).  It's a great project for an otherwise slow day and it keeps him busy so it's all good. SPL always enjoys the holiday season.  He writes a letter to Santa and mails it. He helps us pick out the tree.  He helps his dad put the lights on both the tree and the house. And he helps us get the ornaments on the tree. This year he picked out a present to give ZBL to celebrate his first Christmas: The Wheels on the Bus interactive book. This year it was just the 4 of us -- no out of town visitors and no travel.  We were fortunate to share the afternoon with our friends from San Francisco again this year: Jon, Liz, CCG and MWG (also celebrating his first Christmas).  Love those guys! SPL also enjoyed reading stories to Z before bedtime -- something that became more routine over Christmas: All in all, a wonderful 2 weeks together.  We have much to be grateful for and to celebrate.
